The enormous machinery roared loudly.
Xu Qun was still explaining, "Nan Huang, do you see those big chimneys over there? That's our waste-to-energy plant. The electricity generated from waste combustion can be sold for profit, and it also reduces the volume of waste. However, it also causes significant air pollution."
Xu Qun chuckled and said, "These are the problems your generation needs to solve."
Nan Huang looked at the gray smoke rising from the chimneys, contemplating the immense potential and value of the landfill site while nodding with a smile.
Xu Qun led Nan Huang away with a smile.
"Do you find this landfill site repulsive? Let me tell you, even though it's a landfill, it actually contains tremendous treasures!"
Nan Huang shook her head. "Uncle Qun, I visited similar places when I was a child. Just like you said, these places hold tremendous treasures."
Upon hearing Nan Huang's words, Xu Qun burst into laughter.
After a closer look, Nan Huang became even more certain about the value of this landfill site. Aside from other considerations, just these massive fixed assets were worth several hundred million.
It was unclear how powerful the Xie family, where Xie Yu was from, had been in the past to be able to acquire an entire city's landfill site. As for Ye Guangda, who couldn't see the value in a landfill site, he simply couldn't recognize the potential here.
Now, this landfill site had smoothly fallen into her hands.
Xu Qun, accompanied by Nan Huang, completed the transfer procedures. The entire process took an afternoon.
Then, Xu Qun added, "Now the problem is, we want to launch our developed recycling bins into the market, but we lack distribution channels."
As Nan Huang thought about it, she asked, "Are these bins for metal and plastic recycling?"
Xu Qun nodded. "The Bao family still has some influence, but I heard... you've already divorced Bao Shen?"
Nan Huang replied, "Not yet, but it's almost there."
Xu Qun hesitated and said, "Nan Huang, how about attending Mrs. Bao's birthday banquet tomorrow evening?"
"Mrs. Bao's birthday banquet?" Nan Huang asked. "Will both Bao Shen and Mu Yun be there?"
Xu Qun looked a bit embarrassed. "Well, I'm not sure."
He hoped that Nan Huang could help promote their product in this opportunity but didn't want to put her in a difficult position.
"It's not necessary to go, really. We have people from the marketing department, and we can find a way to open the market ourselves," Xu Qun suggested with a smile.
"I will definitely go," Nan Huang replied with a smile on her lips.
She was just thinking about how to catch Bao Shen, and this was a perfect opportunity.
After officially taking over Xie's Environmental Protection Company, Xu Qun's staff would be at Nan Huang's disposal. After Nan Huang asked Jiang Xin to leave, Xu Yang, Xu Qun's assistant, temporarily became Nan Huang's assistant.
When attending an elderly person's birthday banquet, it was customary to bring a gift. Nan Huang thought that the original owner, Ye Nan Huang, was skilled in oil painting, so she could bring Ye Nan Huang's previous artwork as a gift.
The next evening.
Xu Yang drove Nan Huang to the residential area. Nan Huang asked Xu Yang to wait, and she changed into a formal dress, applied makeup, and put on a coat.
"Miss Ye," Xu Yang went upstairs to help with the gifts.
Nan Huang picked up her bag and said as she lifted it, "Xu, please go to the study and wrap up the oil paintings in there. Be careful."
"Of course, Miss Ye."
After Xu Yang left, a gust of wind blew through the art studio, moving the curtains aside, revealing a brilliant painting titled "Old Man in the Woods" that had been forgotten in the studio.
It was now 7 o'clock.
Xu Yang drove to the West City Center Building. He dropped Nan Huang off and she signaled him to wait. She changed into a black dress, applied makeup, and put on a coat.
"Miss Ye," Xu Yang came upstairs with a large board wrapped in red cloth.
Nan Huang took the painting and wondered how to get inside. She saw Song Mo approaching, so she asked, "Excuse me, young sir, do you have a golden invitation card to enter this place?"
A golden invitation card?
Nan Huang was taken aback. She didn't have one, and Bao Shen hadn't given her one.
Just behind Nan Huang, two young men were walking towards her. They were well-dressed, with neatly combed hair.
Song Mo and Xie Ziran were walking behind. Xie Ziran, the young master of the Xie family in the West City, was quite interested in Song Mo's experience at the hospital with the Song family's grandmother.
"Is it true that the girl gave your grandmother two injections and cured her heart attack?" Xie Ziran asked.
Song Mo corrected him, "Not cured, but she helped her get through a heart attack crisis. My grandmother is still in the hospital and is scheduled for heart bypass surgery tomorrow."
Xie Ziran remained skeptical, "What's the difference? It's still a heart attack! One wrong move during resuscitation, and it could have been fatal. Yet, she saved her with just two injections?"
After saying that, Xie Ziran bumped into Song Mo with his elbow and continued, "Song Mo, that girl did you a big favor. How do you plan to repay her?"
Song Mo looked somewhat troubled. "Let's not talk about repaying favors. I don't even know her name, and I don't have her contact information. I don't even know if we'll ever meet again in the future."
Just as he finished speaking, Song Mo saw Nan Huang, the girl from earlier, in a black evening gown.
In her dazzling black dress, she looked radiant, and it accentuated her fair, flawless skin. Her hairstyle was simple, with a few strands of hair falling to her shoulders, giving her a lively appearance.
Song Mo's eyes quivered, and he locked onto her bright eyes.
In her star-filled eyes, it seemed like there were silverfish swimming, creating ripples and gently impacting his heart.
Song Mo forgot about his companion and walked towards her, shouting, "The miracle worker, the miracle worker!"
Nan Huang turned around and saw Song Mo rushing towards her.
"Great, I finally found you!" Song Mo grabbed her hand, his tone filled with excitement. "I knew we were destined to meet. We just met yesterday, and now we're meeting again tonight."
This person seemed familiar...
Oh, right, he was the one from earlier today.
Nan Huang realized and said, "It's you?!"
Nan Huang quietly withdrew her hand.
Carrying a large board wrapped in red cloth, Xu Yang arrived shortly after. He stood behind Nan Huang and said, "Miss Ye."
Nan Huang accepted the painting and, while pondering how to enter the venue, she
spotted Song Mo. So, she asked, "Excuse me, do you have a golden invitation card to enter here?"
Song Mo nodded quickly, "Sure, I do. Are you trying to get in? I can take you inside."
Nan Huang smiled gratefully and nodded, "Yes, thank you. I do need to get in."
Song Mo nodded enthusiastically, "No problem at all."
Nan Huang smoothly followed Song Mo into the venue. She went to the gift registration desk and registered her gift. Song Mo followed suit.
Just as Song Mo was about to catch up with Nan Huang, his forgotten friend, Xie Ziran, bumped into him.
"Back to your senses, buddy."
Song Mo looked at him disapprovingly.
Xie Ziran, looking curiously at Nan Huang's back, asked, "Is this the miracle worker you mentioned earlier, the one who helped your grandmother during the day?"
Song Mo looked at him in shock, "How did you know?"
"You just called her a miracle worker, didn't you?" Xie Ziran replied and then pinched his chin in thought. "I feel like I've seen her somewhere before."
Song Mo scoffed, "Pretty girls all seem familiar to you."
"That's not what I meant."
"I won't tell you. I'm going to catch up with my lifesaver!"
Song Mo rushed after Nan Huang, and Xie Ziran watched his friend being captivated by her beauty, feeling a bit helpless.
But she really does look familiar; he must have seen her before.
After some contemplation, Xie Ziran suddenly remembered.
"I remembered why I found her familiar. She looks a lot like Aunt's daughter. I remember Aunt has a daughter named... Ye Nan Huang."
Xie Ziran turned around and checked the gift registration list, and he immediately spotted the name "Ye Nan Huang."
It really was Aunt's daughter, his cousin, Ye Nan Huang!
Fate truly worked in mysterious ways.
