Bao Shen no longer wanted a divorce. He was genuinely surprised by his own thoughts. He decided to give it some more time and understand his feelings better. He didn't want to make any hasty decisions that he might regret later.
Meanwhile, on the painting front, Nan Huang had already finished her artwork, and it was spectacular. She stretched her arms gracefully, showcasing her alluring figure. Bao Shen couldn't help but be captivated by her.
Was she intentionally revealing her beauty by removing her birthmark at this moment? Did she want to convey to him that she was indeed beautiful?
Xie Ziran playfully said to Rong Wuye, "Wow, Wuye, have you thought this through? Do you want this woman? If not, I might start pursuing her."
Rong Wuye gave Xie Ziran a cold, stern look, making him break into a cold sweat. He quickly backtracked, saying, "Okay, okay, I get it. I promise to stay away from her."
Then, Xie Ziran turned to Rong Wuye and said, "Wuye, just be aware that there are others who appreciate her as well. That young man from the Song family, Song Chu, is actively pursuing her."
Rong Wuye settled into his chair, lit a cigarette, and flicked the ash. He replied, "Xie, you're overthinking it. She's not for anyone."
Xie Ziran raised an eyebrow, contemplating Rong Wuye's words.
Back at the art competition, things were progressing rapidly. Mu Yun was struggling with her rough draft, occasionally making hesitant strokes, while Nan Huang worked confidently and swiftly. In just half an hour, Nan Huang had made significant progress.
Bao Shen, who was observing the competition, felt a growing sense of surprise. He had been married to Ye Nan Huang for over a year, yet he had no idea that his wife possessed such digital painting skills, let alone that she was so talented.
He focused on Nan Huang as she painted, her determination evident on her face. A feeling he had long suppressed began to resurface in his heart.
Bao Shen had prepared himself for a divorce with clothing and divorce papers, intending to speak to Ye Nan Huang about it. However, he couldn't help but sense her despair and desperation that day. He had given her time to think, but he found himself reconsidering their relationship.
Perhaps he no longer wanted a divorce, and perhaps...
...he didn't love Mu Yun as much as he used to.
Mu Yun's painting was lagging behind, and she couldn't help but feel agitated. She had underestimated Ye Nan Huang's skills, thinking she was intentionally hiding her talent.
"I'm done," Nan Huang's clear voice rang out, and the audience turned their attention to the large screen.
The crowd erupted in applause and praise. Nan Huang's painting of Grandma Bao was exquisite and exuded an aristocratic aura. The attention to detail was exceptional, and the play of light and shadow was remarkable.
Mu Yun's hands trembled as she struggled to finish her artwork. She had made a mistake with a line and had to undo it. She realized she had forgotten to separate some layers in her digital painting, making her increasingly flustered. Her strokes were becoming more erratic, and she couldn't concentrate.
When Mu Yun finally completed her painting after a long delay, it was clear that Nan Huang's work was superior in every aspect.
Mu Yun's frustration was palpable, but she refused to accept defeat. She proposed another round, but her request was met with silence from Zhao Gang and the others.
The crowd's consensus was clear: Nan Huang had won the competition.
As the event drew to a close, people started leaving, and Nan Huang seized the opportunity to promote her family's recycling machine. An older gentleman approached her and complimented her abilities, hinting at inviting her to join the Western City Art Association. Nan Huang politely declined.
Shortly after, several members of the Western City Art Association approached Nan Huang and asked if she knew a talented female artist. Nan Huang, realizing their intentions, pointed to Mu Yun. They thanked her and hurried off to approach Mu Yun, inviting her to join their association.
Nan Huang took this chance to discreetly leave the venue.
Song Chu and Xie Ziran observed the situation and couldn't help but chuckle. Song Chu teased, "Miss Ye is quite amusing. Even when countless people would eagerly join the Art Association, she finds it too troublesome. What do you say, Miss Ye? We've become quite familiar now. Can I have your WeChat?"
"Sure," Nan Huang agreed, taking out her phone to exchange contact information.
However, just as they were about to connect, a tall man approached Nan Huang. She recognized him as Yang Bo, Rong Wuye's assistant.
"Miss Ye, hello," Yang Bo greeted Nan Huang politely and then turned to deliver a message, "Our Fifth Master invites you to meet with him."
Nan Huang declined, "Not now. I'm sorry, but it's not convenient."
Yang Bo insisted, "Miss, it's about the incident where you accidentally bumped into our Fifth Master, causing him an injury. He hopes to discuss compensation with you."
Nan Huang was taken aback, "Injured? That's impossible!"
Song Chu and Xie Ziran overheard the conversation and joined Nan Huang. Xie Ziran was protective and asked, "How much compensation are they demanding? Just tell us, and we'll handle it. It's not right to trouble a young lady at this hour."
Yang Bo adjusted his glasses and smiled, "I believe Song Young Master has his own urgent matters to attend to."
Song Chu's phone rang incessantly, and his face grew increasingly anxious.
Nan Huang glanced at him and said, "If you have urgent matters to attend to, please go ahead. I can handle this."
Song Chu and Xie Ziran left, leaving Nan Huang alone with Yang Bo.
Nan Huang sighed and asked, "So, where is your Fifth Master?"
