 Chapter 32: I Promise You

In the grapevine manor, a tense atmosphere filled the air. Only in the living room, the master of the manor and the new girl who had just moved in were arguing.

South Phoenix was resolute in her demands. "Five Lord, do you have surveillance cameras in the bathroom too?"

Sitting on a leather sofa, Lord Five raised an eyebrow slightly. 

South Phoenix suppressed a smile. This person had really thick skin. "Do you want to watch me shower and use the toilet?"

Lord Five responded elegantly, "All the surveillance here can only be viewed by me. Why would I want to watch the bathroom cameras?"

"Are you sure that only you can access the surveillance?" South Phoenix countered.

Lord Five nodded.

South Phoenix scoffed and took out her phone, typing away. After a moment, she handed the phone to Yang Bo.

With a few taps on her phone, she displayed all the surveillance footage from the entire grapevine manor. 

Yang Bo took the phone, utterly shocked, and then handed it to Lord Five. "Lord Five..."

He never expected that the young miss had this capability.

South Phoenix said, "You see, now I can see it too."

Lord Five surrendered and ordered Yang Bo, "Remove the surveillance cameras in the bathroom."

"What about the bedroom?" Lord Five asked.

South Phoenix stared right back at him, unyielding.

Yang Bo chimed in, "Miss, the bedroom is necessary..."

He thought, if Lord Five couldn't see Miss all day at work, he would throw a fit.

South Phoenix stood up to leave.

"Where are you going?" Lord Five immediately got up.

"Back home."

"You're staying here now."

"I don't like staying here; it's uncomfortable. I want to go home."

Lord Five's face darkened.

"I promised to be your stand-in White Moonlight, giving your emotions a direction. But first, I'm not willing to live under constant surveillance, and second, I don't intend to lose my virginity."

Lord Five was about to speak, but South Phoenix continued.

"So, if you want me to stay here, you must agree to my conditions. First, there must be no surveillance in my bedroom or bathroom. Second, my room is my private space, and no one else can enter. I want it to have a lock, and I'll have a separate key. Third, I'm not done with my university studies; I want to go to school. Fourth, I won't provide any physical services, not even a kiss in bed."

Lord Five's facial expression grew sterner and sterner, and South Phoenix kept going, "If you don't agree to any of these conditions, I dare you to see if you can keep me here. Don't think you can lock me up. Even in a prison, I can escape."

"South Phoenix!" Lord Five ground his teeth.

"What? Do you want to do something? You can try to lock me up, and I'll see if I want to cooperate with your little act."

South Phoenix sat down confidently and crossed her legs. "I'm not interested in being your White Moonlight or your substitute. I don't care about your emotional struggles. Even if I escape to the ends of the earth, what can you do?"

Yang Bo thought this was bad; Lord Five was about to lose his temper again.

"Lord Five," Yang Bo said, "have you argued enough? Do you want some water? Dinner is ready in the kitchen. Lord Five, Miss, are you hungry? Would you like to eat?"

Lord Five stared at Yang Bo. Yang Bo felt nervous, wondering if he had done something wrong.

Lord Five said, "Go remove the cameras in her room."

"Yes, yes, yes."

Yang Bo turned to the bodyguards and ordered, "Hurry up."

Lord Five stood up, walked in front of South Phoenix, and looked in other directions before asking, "Are you hungry?"

South Phoenix was about to stand up, but Lord Five held her arm. Then he ground his teeth and said, "I'll take you to dinner. I'm your White Moonlight substitute!"

South Phoenix's lips twitched.

Even though he was genuinely upset, Lord Five's grip on her arm was gentle. After standing up straight, Lord Five reluctantly released her arm. The feeling of his hand remained, and he softly squeezed his palm.

His voice became softer. "We'll have dishes you like tonight."

South Phoenix asked with a raised eyebrow, "How do you know what dishes I like?"

Lord Five huffed, "Of course, I know."
