Chapter 7: This Is Sanctioned by Bao Shen

It turned out to be that landfill.

Ye Guangda was relieved. He indeed knew about the existence of that landfill, and he really had no interest in it. So, in the past twenty years, he had never thought about the landfill.

Thinking about this, Ye Guangda looked at South Phoenix with a serious face. "Since it's that landfill, you can take it. After all, I'm your father, and I won't fight with you for things."

Xie Yu sneered, "So, you still remember that you're a father."

Ye Guangda coughed twice and continued, "South Phoenix, I've raised you for over twenty years. You should help your father. No matter what, you were wrong in this matter. What's wrong with a woman lowering her head to her husband? Don't learn from your mother. Tomorrow, go and apologize to Mr. Bao, ask him not to divorce you. At the very least, if you can't avoid a divorce, become his lover."

Xie Yu was furious and didn't know what she had grabbed from the bedside table. She swung it at Ye Guangda's head. "You scoundrel, get out!"

Ye Guangda was hit on the head by an alarm clock and immediately felt dizzy. He cursed, "Xie Yu, what are you trying to do?"

"Get out, and get out quickly!"

Today, Xie Yu was going to settle things with Ye Guangda, and she wouldn't allow South Phoenix to stay in the house tonight.

South Phoenix, convinced by her mother, left the room with the transfer agreement in her arms. She happened to see Li Yiliu and her daughter moving slowly and listening intently with their ears perked up near the door.

South Phoenix warned them with a sharp look, "You can leave too."

Her sharp gaze and imposing manner made Li Yiliu shiver for a moment.

"Mom..." Ye Xinyao tugged at Li Yiliu's sleeve.

Li Yiliu lowered her head and whispered to Ye Xinyao, "Let's go."

She picked up her bag and, under South Phoenix's gaze, hurriedly left the Ye family villa.

As Li Yiliu and her daughter left the villa, Li Yiliu suddenly remembered the last look South Phoenix gave her and shuddered.

"Mom," Ye Xinyao said, feeling uneasy, "Dad seems to be afraid of that Xie Yu."

Li Yiliu steadied her nervous heart and said to Ye Xinyao, "He's just worried about the background of the Xie family, but the Xie family is not what it used to be. Don't worry." She patted her chest as if to reassure herself. "She and her daughter can't compete with us. We have plenty of time."

After watching Li Yiliu and her daughter leave, South Phoenix finally stepped out of the room.

She took out her phone to call a ride when she unexpectedly saw a car stopping in front of her.

The window of the car rolled down, revealing the familiar face she had seen during the day – Jiang Xin.

"Miss Ye, what a coincidence," Jiang Xin smiled.

South Phoenix asked in surprise, "Mr. Jiang? How did you end up here?"

"I happened to be passing through this villa area and saw Miss Ye. Would you like to get in?"

"Are you saying you just happened to pass by?" South Phoenix pondered as she got into the car.

She sat in the back seat, studying him and said, "Mr. Jiang, thank you for today. I'll treat you to a meal another day."

Jiang Xin immediately replied with a smile, "No need for a meal; I also live here. It's on my way."

"You live here too?"

"It's close to the company," Jiang Xin said with a smile.

Indeed, it was within walking distance of Rongshi Central Square.

South Phoenix nodded in understanding.

Jiang Xin took out a business card and handed it to South Phoenix. "Miss Ye, let's be friends. If you ever need anything, you can give me a call, and I'll definitely help."

South Phoenix accepted the business card and smiled. "Please thank your boss for me."

Jiang Xin broke into a cold sweat instantly. "Miss Ye, I really don't have a boss. I just want to be friends with you."

"Alright, thank you," South Phoenix replied with a smile.

Jiang Xin: "..."

South Phoenix returned to her rented apartment. She turned on the TV, and on the screen were rolling economic and entertainment news, including extensive coverage of Bao Shen.

"Famous entrepreneur Bao Shen encountered internationally renowned artist Mu Yun. Is it an extramarital affair or true love?"

"It is reported that Bao Shen and Mu Yun were high school classmates. Bao Shen's

current wife, Ye Nanhuang, was also their high school classmate."

"According to reliable sources, Bao Shen and the heiress of Ye Shoe Company, Ye Nanhuang, have divorced."

The video showed blurry images of Bao Shen and a woman entering and exiting a coffee shop, a Western restaurant, and a hotel.

South Phoenix immediately recognized the woman as Mu Yun.

"They seem so affectionate," South Phoenix commented while opening a bottle of wine.

Bao Shen also held considerable power. If he didn't want this news to leak, it wouldn't. In other words, this had Bao Shen's tacit approval.

Thinking about how Bao Shen and South Phoenix had very few mentions on the internet and then seeing Bao Shen with Mu Yun, South Phoenix couldn't help but give a self-deprecating smile.

It seemed that Bao Shen, who had never paid attention to Ye Nanhuang, didn't know that Ye Nanhuang herself was an outstanding artist.

In the end, was it worth harming herself for such a man?

"For the sake of a man like this? It's truly foolish," South Phoenix murmured to herself.
