Chapter 79: Provoking Mo Sha Tian
Gunshots rang out, followed by a chorus of panicked voices.
Suddenly, a group of people rushed out of the bar, while the bar owner hid beneath the bar counter.
Amidst the chaos, Mo Sha Tian touched his neck and found a shallow bloodstain.
He brought his bloodied hand to his lips and licked it lightly. "Tastes good."
Nan Huang's face turned grim. It seemed that this gang leader was tougher to deal with than she had imagined.
Mo Sha Tian raised his arm and smiled. "What do you want?"
"I'm tired, let's go home," Nan Huang replied.
Mo Sha Tian smirked. "Alright."
"Mo Ye!"
"Let them pass," Mo Sha Tian declared dominantly.
As his words echoed through the bar, the atmosphere quieted down. Nan Huang, along with Xie Ziran, retreated to the entrance and then exited the bar.
Xie Ziran was still in shock from the earlier incident. In a daze, he got into Nan Huang's car, and once inside, he began to feel anxious.
"We're in trouble; we've provoked Mo Ye," Xie Ziran said.
Nan Huang started the car and drove onto the road. "Brother, is it really that serious?"
"The Western City gang is under his control. Do you think it's not serious? Our family business is going to be even harder to maintain from now on."
Nan Huang stepped on the brakes and said, "I'll talk to him."
Xie Ziran immediately stopped her. "Don't!"
Xie Ziran scratched his head, his expression complicated. "Business can be replaced, but as long as everyone is safe, that's what matters. It's my fault that this happened today; I didn't take care of you properly. Let's go home first."
After saying that, Xie Ziran glanced at Nan Huang and said hurriedly, "Pull over to the side."
Nan Huang looked at him with confusion.
"I'll call a designated driver!" Xie Ziran said.
Nan Huang had to wait for a while by the roadside until the designated driver arrived. When the driver saw Xie Ziran, he didn't know where to put his hands and feet.
"You drive; we'll sit in the back," Nan Huang instructed.
The designated driver, in a hurry, said, "Could you please teach me how to drive first..."
After a long day of turmoil and drinking, Nan Huang was exhausted, and Xie Ziran was mentally drained. However, he couldn't afford to fall asleep.
Suddenly, he felt the weight on his shoulder. Xie Ziran turned to look, and there, he saw Nan Huang had fallen asleep with her head on his shoulder.
He sighed and lowered his shoulder to make her more comfortable.
The small villa that belonged to the Xie family, where Xie Yumo and her mother used to live, had been cleaned up.
Xie Ziran carried Nan Huang and placed her gently on the bed in one of the bedrooms, covering her with a blanket.
For Nan Huang, it had been a day filled with trials and tribulations. Now, finally, she could rest.
---
After parking the car, she didn't wait and rushed towards the cliff by the sea, carrying a huge suitcase.
The sea breeze was strong, and the air was cold and damp, with a hint of rain in the air. Her hands and feet were small and slender.
She was running a high fever, her face pale. She hobbled up the steep mountain path, taking a shortcut to get there faster.
Her small body was carrying a large suitcase, and she struggled to climb the steep mountain path.
Suddenly, she slipped, and the suitcase started rolling downhill with her. Sharp pain shot through her heart, and she gritted her teeth.
Broken. Her leg was broken.
The young girl had never faced such a problem before. Her already frail body was now enduring even greater suffering.
She didn't think about anything; the slower she moved, the more pain she felt inside.
As long as she had the money prepared, the kidnappers would let him go. She brought the money, and they had to wait for her!
The rain started to fall.
Pitter-patter.
Her head was burning hot, and the feeling of despair grew stronger. The girl started to cry.
"Feng... Feng..." She cried, her eyes red, and she got up again.
Her leg was broken, but if she arrived too late, Feng would be in danger.
---
A ray of morning light entered her room.
Nan Huang, lying on the soft mattress, turned her head and pressed it.
The hangover was quite severe.
She turned over and lay on her back.
Where was she?
The decor in front of her was all pink, the kind of pink that looked like it could be squeezed for water.
For a moment, she felt a bit dazed.
Where was she?
She got out of bed and realized she was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday, and they were a bit dirty now.
She was still a bit confused as she walked out of the room. She remembered that she had a fight with Rong Feng last night. Then she drove, and then... she went to the bar and had some drinks...
After that... she seemed to have had a fight with a man.
And then... it seemed like she went home with Xie Ziran?
She sat down on the edge of the bed and took a moment to gather her thoughts.
Was this Xie's house?
She pulled back the curtains and looked outside. Soon, she recognized the familiar surroundings.
It was indeed Xie's house.
Nan Huang relaxed and opened the bedroom door. The layout of Xie's house was already familiar to her. She walked in the direction of the living room.
"You're awake," Xie Ziran said as he approached her and looked her over. "Nan Huang, you really go crazy when you're drunk. I won't dare to take you drinking next time."
Nan Huang's eyelid twitched. It seemed like she wasn't the first person to say that she went crazy when she drank.
Was her alcohol tolerance really that bad?
Xie Ziran, with a friendly smile, held her hand and led her to the dining room. "Come have breakfast with me and my family. My parents and my second uncle are here, and so is my grandfather."
Huh?
When Xie Ziran and Nan Huang reached the dining room, the entire Xie family was already seated, looking warmly at her.
Nan Huang was momentarily stunned, but in the warm embrace of their welcome, she found herself seated at the dining table without realizing it.
"Nan Huang is here," Xie Tang greeted her.
"Grandfather," Nan Huang replied.
"Nan Huang," Xie Yuxue greeted her with a smile.
"Second Uncle," Nan Huang continued.
Xie Yuchang and his wife, Wan Yu, also greeted her with smiles. "Nan Huang."
"Uncle and Aunt," Nan Huang greeted them in turn.
For some reason, perhaps hitting on a happy note, at this moment, this family was filled with joy, and each of them laughed heartily.
Nan Huang, however, looked gloomy.
"Grandfather, Uncle, Aunt... I might have caused trouble last night."
Xie's family in Western City, once the uncontested leaders in the area, had now been trampled upon by South Yingcheng and threatened by the underworld.
Thinking about it, it was a bit nostalgic.
Xie Ziran said, "Nan Huang, I've just explained everything to them. It's not your fault; blame me."
Xie Yuchang added, "Nan Huang, we know about this. It's not your fault. Besides, we think you're more capable than Ziran. You even confronted Mo Sha Tian. I heard you pointed a gun at his head! Impressive!"
Xie Tang also chuckled. "The Xie family has never been afraid of those surnamed Mo. We're not afraid of them."
