Chapter 84: Fifth Young Master Lets Her Vent

"What do you mean, 'just like me'?" South Phoenix's face was tense, even though they were just a meter apart.

Rong Fifth Young Master pursed his lips, wanting to speak but hesitating.

South Phoenix asked, "Rong Feng, have you ever thought about how I would feel watching you jump off a building?"

South Phoenix's nose tingled, "I'll jump once for you to see, and you can prepare ten or eight air cushions for me. Let's see how you feel!"

Rong Feng was stunned. Without hesitation, he said, "No!"

"Then why can you do it?" she demanded.

His face filled with panic. "I'm sorry."

Rong Fifth Young Master finally realized that if he had to watch South Phoenix jump off a building, his heart wouldn't even need to beat anymore. That would be an indescribably terrifying situation.

That feeling would be beyond words.

South Phoenix took a step closer, "Over a decade ago, I watched you being pushed off from afar. I was scared, I was dumbfounded. When I climbed up, there was nothing there except one of your shoes."

"That place was a cliff, and below it was the sea. You fell into the ocean, so how could there be any hope of survival?"

"You can't imagine the emotions I had as I crawled step by step to the bottom of the cliff. You can't imagine how desperately I wished for someone to come and rescue me. Maybe you were still alive, or maybe you were just waiting for me to save you."

"How could you, how could you, do it again now?"

Rong Feng looked at her apologetically and took a step forward, "Nan Huang..."

He just wanted to punish himself, to feel what she felt, to experience her pain.

"Don't touch me."

South Phoenix turned around and sat back in the car.

Rong Feng stood there, not knowing what to do. Yang Bo, feeling sorry for the young master of the family, approached him and said, "Miss is worried about you."

"I know," Rong Feng replied.

Yang Bo continued, "Young Master Five, please get in the car. Miss has been waiting for you for a while."

Rong Fifth Young Master looked at South Phoenix's car and saw her sitting in the driver's seat without starting the engine.

Was she waiting for him?

Realizing this, Rong Fifth Young Master strode over. His hand hesitated for a moment when it touched the car door handle, but then he firmly grasped it.

He opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat, calmly fastening his seatbelt.

The car window was open, and the wind outside kept them cool and helped dry the soaked clothes inside the car.

Realizing that South Phoenix was venting her anger, Rong Feng obediently sat in his seat.

He rolled down the car window because he felt troubled, and his expression appeared somewhat melancholic due to his distress. He leaned against the car window, and his refined face was adorned with an additional layer of sorrow.

South Phoenix cast a fleeting glance at him.

Then she turned her head.

Damn, it's shameful.

Clearly, she was angry.

But he managed to look handsome despite it.

Tonight, he definitely couldn't go back to the Xie family. She didn't want to go to the Grape Manor either. South Phoenix drove back to the West City Garden.

The car stopped in the underground parking lot. Rong Fifth Young Master followed her like a well-behaved puppy, not letting go, as if he was afraid she would abandon him at any moment, and he followed her home.

The Xie family seemed to treat South Phoenix like a little princess. Not only was the interior of the house decorated in shades of pink, even the pajamas prepared for her were cute pink teddy bear pajamas. South Phoenix had left in a hurry and hadn't changed into these clothes.

Rong Feng had noticed her outfit while at the Xie family.

He had secretly stolen glances at it several times and found her incredibly cute.

When he saw it during the suicide attempt, even though it was a dangerous situation, the sight of this adorable little thing made him want to rush over and hug her, ruffling her head.

During their arguments too, she managed to make him look cute with every harsh word she spoke.

And now, it was the same.

A bundle of pink, teddy bear-like little thing, flipping and searching around, managed to unearth a new towel and a set of brand-new men's pajamas for him from who knows where.

"Go take a shower," the little one digging on the floor commanded.

Rong Feng stared at her back and went blank for a moment.

South Phoenix stood up from her position rummaging in the closet and looked at him. "Did you hear me? Go take a shower now!"

"Oh," Rong Feng felt a bit dazed. All he could see was her shadow. "I'll go now, don't be mad."

His body was getting hotter and hotter.

Rong Feng picked up the clothes and towel and headed to the nearby bathroom.

The clothes on his body were ice-cold and clung to his skin. His skin was indeed unusually hot.

He took off the chilly clothes, turned on the shower, and stared at the steam rising from the hot water, feeling lightheaded.

With a thud, he collapsed to the floor.

South Phoenix, who was outside searching for supplies, heard the noise from the bathroom. She hurriedly took a few steps and reached the bathroom door. She knocked on the door. "Rong Feng, Rong Feng!"

There was no response.

South Phoenix turned the doorknob, and since it wasn't locked, she easily opened the door. Inside, she saw a man lying on the floor.

The man had removed his clothes, and he was completely naked. But at this moment, South Phoenix had no extra attention to spare for admiring the man's muscles and physique.

She reached out to touch Rong Feng but was startled. "You're burning up!"

South Phoenix grabbed a towel and smacked him with it, but the man, who used to be agile, showed no reaction at all.

She stared at his pale face for a while, then snorted in frustration a couple of times before rushing to fill the bathtub with hot water. She carefully placed Rong Feng in the bathtub at the right temperature.

"Your size is really something." After draining the water from the bathtub, South Phoenix cleaned his body. She clenched her teeth and lifted him out of the bathtub.

With her slender arms and legs, she dragged him to the bed, covered him with a blanket, and then dressed him.

Punishing him was satisfying in the moment, but afterwards, it was all her hard work.

After taking physical cooling measures for him, South Phoenix sat by the bedside, watching him.

The feverish man didn't sleep soundly. Sometimes he was cold, as if he were in an icy cave, and other times he was too hot, as if he were in a blazing fire. He woke up when his throat was dry and painful.

Sitting up, his mind was in a haze, but the bedside lamp was still on.

He saw the person sitting by the bed. He frowned. "You'll catch a cold. Little one."

He tried to get up

, wanting to lift her onto the bed, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't muster the strength. Finally, he closed his eyes for a moment, and when he reopened them, he had regained some energy. Gently, he picked her up with a princess carry and placed her on the bed, covering her with a blanket.

"My throat is so dry," he said as he went to the bathroom. He drank several gulps of water directly from the faucet.

When he returned to the room, he saw the pink little thing that should have been asleep, now sitting up.
