Chapter 95: Rescuing on the Scene

Jiang Li was the closest to Old Master Qin, so she arrived first. After examining him for a while, she took out a silver needle and began acupuncture.

Nan Huang was about to step forward, but Rong Wu Ye stopped her. "There are too many people here, stay by my side."

Nan Huang looked worriedly at Old Master Qin, and Rong Wu Ye reassured her, "President Cheng is here, no need to worry."

Nan Huang nodded reluctantly.

Rong Wu Ye held her hand, and his fingers played with her fingers, which were soft and smooth. He seemed to be in high spirits, his eyes no longer cold and indifferent but filled with infinite warmth as he looked at the person in front of him.

Jiang Li's heart tightened as she stole a glance in Rong Wu Ye's direction, but he paid no attention to her, completely absorbed in watching the situation.

"Are you tired?" Rong Wu Ye whispered.

"Not at all," Nan Huang replied.

Rong Wu Ye explained, "The elderly man in front is the head of the Qin family's business empire in the South City. He came here specifically, probably not just to watch the competition but also for a medical checkup. Little did he know he'd have a health crisis here."

"It's a heart attack," Nan Huang said.

"A heart attack?" Rong Wu Ye asked quietly.

"Yes, he's older, and his blood vessels are blocked, leading to heart function problems," Nan Huang replied, squinting at him. "But something doesn't seem right..."

Rong Wu Ye stared at Nan Huang, and she hurriedly took a step forward, raising her voice. "Wait! Stop!"

Jiang Li was about to insert a silver needle, but an old hand grabbed her wrist. She looked up in surprise. "Master?"

Cheng Jiang said, "Listen to what Miss Ye has to say."

Jiang Li's eyes filled with disbelief. "Master, Old Master Qin is clearly suffering from a heart attack. Acupuncture is the right treatment! Why should we listen to others? Delaying this could be life-threatening for Old Master Qin!"

Nan Huang walked up. "But if you insert that needle, you'll surely kill him."

"Do you even understand?" Jiang Li retorted angrily. "You think solving a few problems makes you an expert? I'm trying to save him!"

Nan Huang said, "Are you really sure he's suffering from a heart attack?"

Nan Huang examined the old man's eyelids and looked at his tongue coating.

"He's suffering from poisoning," she said.

"You're talking nonsense!" Jiang Li protested.

"It's impossible!" one of Old Master Qin's attendants chimed in.

"Poisoning?" Cheng Jiang and Nan Huang's attention was immediately piqued.

Nan Huang took out a silver needle and was about to insert it into a certain acupoint when Jiang Li stopped her. "Nan Huang, do you even know who this person is? With your half-baked medical skills, if anything goes wrong, can you bear the responsibility?"

"I'll take responsibility if something goes wrong," Nan Huang calmly replied. "I'm not officially a member of the Medical Association yet. Even if something happens, it won't be the Association's responsibility. Don't worry, Senior Sister."

Rong Wu Ye chimed in, "Nan Huang is under my protection. If anything happens, the Qin family can come to me."

The attendant was in a dilemma, not knowing what to do, so he looked to Cheng Jiang for help.

Cheng Jiang asked Nan Huang, "Are you sure it's poisoning?"

"I'm sure," Nan Huang affirmed.

"Do you have confidence in treating it?" Cheng Jiang inquired.

"I do," Nan Huang replied.

"Then go ahead and try," Cheng Jiang said.

Nan Huang's expression softened slightly, and she respectfully said, "Thank you for trusting me, President."

"Master! They're members of the Medical Association now. If something goes wrong, how can you let this woman do as she pleases? Are you out of your mind?" Jiang Li exclaimed.

Cheng Jiang sighed and asked Jiang Li, "Can I make decisions right now?"

Jiang Li bit her lip in frustration, her eyes filled with resentment as she looked at Nan Huang. This clearly appeared to be a heart attack, and if something went wrong, Nan Huang would bear the consequences.

Nan Huang inserted a silver needle into a certain acupoint, and the needle oozed black blood. As she saw the black blood, Cheng Jiang was genuinely surprised.

"Prepare a container," Nan Huang said. She continued to insert a few more needles and then made a small incision on the old man's wrist. Black blood flowed out, and she carefully collected it.

"I've forced the poisoned blood to his wrist; now we need to drain it," Nan Huang explained. She waited for the black blood to flow out completely and then stopped the bleeding.

Once the bleeding was controlled, she examined the color and checked the pulse. Then, she removed the needles, tapped them, and inserted them again, treating the heart meridian.

As she worked, Nan Huang asked the attendant, "Has Old Master Qin been increasingly drowsy recently?"

The attendant was taken aback and confirmed, "Yes, that's true. How did Dr. Ye know?"

"This is a case of chronic poisoning," Nan Huang explained. "The poison is colorless and tasteless, difficult to detect. Those who are poisoned often become drowsy, lose their appetite, and experience irregular heartbeats. They usually die from cardiac arrhythmia. Even post-mortem examination typically cannot identify the cause, and it's attributed to heart disease."

Nan Huang turned to the attendant and said, "This poison is a well-concealed one. If Senior Sister's needle had gone in just now, it might have been too late."

Jiang Li's face turned pale.

Nan Huang looked at Cheng Jiang and said, "Thank you, President, for stopping Senior Sister."

Cheng Jiang remained focused on observing Nan Huang's needling technique and didn't respond immediately. He simply nodded a couple of times when he returned to his senses.

The attendant was astonished and asked, "Doctor, what should we do with our old master?"

Nan Huang replied, "After this treatment, Old Master Qin should wake up in about fifteen minutes. When he wakes up, he can gradually eat some nourishing food. I'll write a prescription for you, and if you follow it and prepare the medicine as instructed, it will clear all the toxins within a week. By then, Old Master Qin should regain his health."

Nan Huang smiled and added, "Despite his age, Old Master Qin is in good spirits. After he recovers, he can live a long and healthy life."

The attendant smiled and expressed his gratitude repeatedly.

With the treatment complete, Nan Huang removed the final needle, handled each one carefully, and put them away in a small pouch.

"President, you can have our old master examined now," Nan Huang said as she stood up straight. She patted her knee.

Just then, the door of the third venue suddenly swung open, flooding the area with blinding light. Dozens of people in the venue struggled to open their eyes against the glare.

Suddenly, two police officers entered, shouting loudly.

"We received a report that there's an unlicensed medical practitioner here!"

All eyes turned to Nan Huang.

Rong Wu Ye, who had been standing by Nan Huang's side, furrowed his clear brows in concern.
